July Announcements!
July 2026
We hope this email finds you well as we start July!
Psalm 127:3, which says that “children are a gift of the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward.” Jesus calls children to come near to Him, without hindrance, because “the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Lk. 18:16) and warns that “whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea” (Mt. 18:6).
Children are both a gift and a responsibility. Proverbs 23:24-25 tells us that righteous children will bring their parents great joy and gladness, while 3 John 4 says “I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.” So what can we do as parents to put our children on this path?
The Bible has a lot to say on this topic! Here we will point out that Proverbs 22:6 tells us to “Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it.” We must train up children. Training doesn’t happen by accident. It requires intentionality and provision (cf. Rom. 13:14). In sports, nobody ever accidentally attends practice, let alone continually appearing at practice. If we do this with sports, how much more should we do it with our children’s spiritual lives?
Not sure what training looks like? Ephesians 6:4 tells fathers, for example, to bring up our children in the “discipline and instruction of the Lord.” Training involves a discipline component (Prov. 19:18) and a teaching element (Deut. 6:7). Negative and positive reinforcements are to be coupled with the teachings of Scripture, all while grounding them in love. May the goal of our discipline and instruction be “love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith” (1 Tim. 1:5).
Digging Deeper: Discipline and instruction are acts of sacrifice and love. Though not always enjoyable in the present, they reflect a care and concern for the child’s future. Those who grow up without learning to have self-control over their desires often create numerous problems for themselves and those around them. Reflect on the ways you are ‘training up’ the children around you and whether or not they are “of the Lord.” Are the ways you are training them leading to righteousness and truth? Be intentional to pray for the children around you.
Faith, Family, & Finances
If you are interested in learning more on faith, family, and finances, then we want to invite you to our upcoming webinar series. This is one of our favorite webinars because it is so practical in the lives of all believers! Very few, if any, apologetic topics include family or finances, but these are crucial elements in the life of believers.
6 Session Webinar starts July 19th – August 23rd (Sundays @ 6 PM EST). Sessions are recorded.
June Highlight
While we had many highlights each month, we are going to share only one in our monthly newsletter. This month, one of our connections led us to a group of Christians in a Middle Eastern country. We were able to share with pastors and other believers through the help of an interpreter. Our connections wanted to “let you know that our Leaders loved your teachings and they were very well received. Many of them showed their interests to hold more programs with you and I personally want to host a bigger [event].”
We would love to be able to do more of these types of ‘overseas’ events...
